COVID-19 Directions (No. 52) 2022 : Directions for additional vaccination requirements for certain workers to attend the workplace. These Directions take effect at 12:01am on the 22 April 2022.

Be mindful of the spread of COVID-19 we request mask wearing, keeping distances and hand sanitise where possible.

Requirements during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Your permit now includes Covid-safe conditions, such as maintaining hygiene and separation, acting on symptoms and, if you are working, following an acceptable Covid-19 safety plan. Click here to access the NT Government Safety Plan checklist. These conditions align with the principles established by Safework Australia, WorksafeNT and the NT Government.

Applicants who have been in areas of elevated Covid-19 risk should wait 14 days before entering Aboriginal land.

Fishing Permit

Permit to fish in the Tiwi Islands Exclusion Zone (coloured red on the map) are only issued to permanent non-Tiwi residents and their approved guests. Permits are not required to fish in the areas coloured yellow.

The Tiwi Land Council requires a minimum of 30 working days to process Fishing Permit applications. Permits must be carried at all times when fishing in the Exclusion Zone.
